Engineering Study Debunks Official Story of World Trade Center Building 7 Collapse

Most people old enough to remember the 9/11 World Trade Center Towers collapsing quickly accepted the U.S. governments explanation and investigation and we went to war. Any questioning of the official story was quickly labeled a conspiracy theory and those that continued to question the "official story" were call 9/11 truthers. After all, there were witnesses and video of planes hitting WTC towers 1 and 2.  The explanation given by our government seemed plausible to me at the time and this wasn't a rabbit hole that I was going to waste my time exploring too far. However, the truthers concerns over the official story of the collapse of WTC building 7 seemed to merit some more consideration.  However, any reporting or investigation counter to the official story of the demise of building 7 would not really occur, until now. Well, except for the reporting part .....

While the media obsessed over #sharpiegate and Trump tweets an engineering study was releases in regards to building 7 and its finding has the truthers rejoicing and shouting vindication but the report only proves the official story was a LIE.  It doesn't explain HOW the building was brought down. Any conjecture about actors and actions causing the collapse will easily be dismissed as "conspiracy theory" all over again but the summary of the report highlights the fact that we were LIED to by our government yet again.

The full report to follow might answer a few more questions and raise many more.  The burden of proof isn't on me to show the who, how or why of the building 7 collapse because that merits further investigation. We have proven the "facts" as provided by the government aren't accurate or true yet again and this should concern you as the upcoming 9/11 anniversary will appear in the news cycle.
Trillions spent, hundreds of thousands of lives lost and yet doubts remain among more than just the truthers.

An investigator might follow the money or look to publicly available information for an explanation so here are two videos for your consideration.

Is there anyone more pretentious than a leftist NPR viewer/listener ? (Is the tote bag for your head when it isn't up your ass ?)  A couple of questions to ponder while we examine an article NPR ran today that actually doesn't involve racehustling as the major theme.  That of course is a different kind of smear Trump article.  First the tweet from The Donald that has their panties in a bunch

Oh dear, the President is sharing 'sensitive surveillance images' of Iran on Twitter.  Not only is the President 'crazy' he is comromising US intel on social media. Better invoke the 25th amendent or impeach him for this too because he is 'crazy'

Of course, we could just check the last few paragraphs of the article to see if it is more than just clickbait treats for the progressive parrots.  Low and behold, in the third to the last paragraph, what do we find ?

Oh no, a redacted image cleared for release by the president .  Doesn't that conflict with the misleading headline ? Does any thinking person actually think this is the best resolution of an image we have access to ?  Forget it, I said thinking person so that elimates your NPR audience by default.
Maybe NPR should just stick to racehustling like the New York Times.  Think 1691 project.

SYRIAN WHO WORKED ON NOMINATED FILM CAN'T ATTEND OSCARS 

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. immigration authorities are barring entry to a 21-year-old Syrian cinematographer who worked on a harrowing film about his nation's civil war, "The White Helmets," that has been nominated for an Academy Award. 

According to internal Trump administration correspondence seen by The Associated Press, the Department of Homeland Security has decided at the last minute to block Khaled Khateeb from traveling to Los Angeles for the Oscars. 

Khateeb was scheduled to arrive Saturday in Los Angeles on a Turkish Airlines flight departing from Istanbul. But his plans have been upended after U.S. officials reported finding "derogatory information" regarding Khateeb. 

Derogatory information is a broad category that can include anything from terror connections to passport irregularities. Asked for comment, a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security, Gillian Christensen, said, "A valid travel document is required for travel to the United States." 

"The White Helmets," a 40-minute Netflix documentary, has been nominated for Best Documentary Short. If the film wins the Oscar, the award would go to director Orlando von Einsiedel and producer Joanna Natasegara. Khateeb is one of three people credited for cinematography; Franklin Dow is the film's director of photography.

The film focuses on the rescue workers who risk their lives to save Syrians affected by civil war. Many of the group's members have been killed by Syrian President Bashar Assad's air forces. The group also was nominated for last year's Nobel Peace Prize. 

"The White Helmets" includes emblematic scenes of the deadly 6-year-old conflict: people digging through destroyed homes looking for survivors, at constant risk of "double tap" attacks that target first responders after they've arrived at the scene of a strike. 

Khateeb had been issued a visa to attend the ceremony with Hollywood's biggest stars. But Turkish authorities detained him this week, according to the internal U.S. government correspondence, and he suddenly needed a passport waiver from the United States to enter the country. 

The correspondence indicated he would not receive such a waiver. There was no explanation in the correspondence for why Turkey detained Khateeb.

Surely the average uninformed American would think that preventing the oscar nominee to travel to the United States is unfair but there is more to the story, Much more. The White Helmets is a propaganda piece by every measure.  Who and what are the 'White Helmets"?  What was really going in Obama's illegal war in Syria?  The Obama administration aided and funded Al Qaeda in Libya to overthrow Gaddafi and then moved on to Syria supplying and aiding rebels in Syria to overthrow Assad. Rebels that included ISIS, Al Qaeda and their affiliates.  Why do you think Benghazi was covered up? Because of the RAT LINE of arms from Libya to Syria via Turkey among other things including elections.

SNL Premiere Basically a Hillary Clinton Campaign Ad

NBC and MSNBC have long slanted left politically and they do little to disguise it.  The liberal slant of their news and entertainment programming isn't that subtle yet their news programming raises questions on their journalistic responsibilities as a member of the 'fourth estate'. The Brian William's fiasco highlighted NBC 's lack of credibility in the news business but what about their entertainment side of the business?

The season premiere of NBC 's Saturday Night Live was just another example.  After appearing last Sunday on NBC 's  Meet the Press with Chuck Todd fielding mostly softball questions with little followup. the segment was designed to let Hillary Clinton address her criticisms and boost the shows sagging ratings, Hillary Clinton was given even more network time on SNL to rehabilitate her image and try to connect with the zero information Democratic voters.  An excerpt from The Daily Beast:

The Democrats and their coalition were quick to criticize the Citizens United SCOTUS decision because more money in politics would actually help level the field since the MSM leans left by every measure.  The Democrats controlled the narrative on almost all of the nightly newscasts and their party message saturated prime time entertainment and even late night cable shows like The Daily Show, which starred secret Obama loyalist Jon Stewart. The campaign finance ruling held out hope for actual free speech in the United States. Free speech, which was squelched by the 'fourth estate' for decades.

The justices heard argument earlier this term, with former U.S. Solicitor General Ted Olson representing the producers of "Hillary, the Movie." The film's backers wanted to make it available as an "on demand" movie on cable television during the 2008 race for the presidency.
But federal courts ruled the movie, financed partly with funds from unnamed corporations, violated the 2002 McCain-Feingold law. 

Deputy U.S. Solicitor General Malcolm Stewart, defending the law, suggested the Constitution not only allows the restriction of the "documentary" message when offered "on demand," but also on the Internet, on a DVD or in a book, even at a public library.

A 'mass shooting' by a deranged gunman in Oregon seeking publicity got the results he desired. Before the victim's bodies were room temperature,  the Obama administration and their coalition were quick to politicize the issue by calling for more gun control without mentioning the measures they propose would have had ZERO effect on the shooting in Oregon and elsewhere. 

A few days pass and the leftist coalition sends out their mindless drones to spew their disproven gun control  'facts' again.  Billionaire Bloomberg backed Mark Kelly, husband of Gabby Giffords has fully discredited himself on the issue of gun control, yet reappears again right on cue.

Gun store nixes Mark Kelly's AR-15 purchase

An Arizona gun store says it has canceled a recent purchase of an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle by Mark Kelly thwarting the retired astronaut's attempt to demonstrate how easy it is to buy high-powered weapons. 

Kelly, the husband of former Rep. Gabby Giffords and an outspoken advocate for new gun control measures, had in recent interviews said he was buying the rifle to showcase what he said are unobtrusive background checks 

Doug MacKinlay, owner of Diamondback Police Supply, said it was Kelly's statements that caused him to stop the sale. 

"I determined that it was in my company's best interest to terminate this transaction prior to his returning to my store to complete the Federal Form 4473 and NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) required of Mr. Kelly before he could take possession of this firearm," MacKinlay posted on the Tuscon store's Facebook page Monday. 

MacKinlay said he sent a full refund to Kelly and nixed the transaction because Kelly made statements in the media that the rifle purchase was "for reasons other then (sic) for his personal use."

As an investigative reporter, I had learned there were several go-to strategies practiced by press agents for government agencies, corporations, non-profits and other entities when they perceive negative stories coming their way.

Top Ten Tactics to Influence Negative Views, a.k.a The PR Playbook

1. Exploit Social Media
When news reporters publish factually correct but potentially damaging stories, use pseudonyms to set up accounts on social media such as Facebook and Twitter to promulgate your propaganda. If you're really experienced, you'll already have such dummy accounts ready with "friends" and "followers" so that it all looks convincing when the time comes. Pretend to be ordinary moms and citizens creating a "buzz" or "outrage" about the story you want to discredit. Average Americans and reporters may be swayed by these false "grassroots" efforts, if they don't think to peek behind the curtain. 

2. Attack the Messenger
When you've found it impossible to discredit the story because it's accurate and fair, do "opposition research" on the reporter. Dig for professional and personal dirt. If you can't find any, no worries: Just twist what you do find and spew it out on social media or letters to the journalists' bosses in hopes it'll have a chilling effect. 

3. Employ Third Parties
Don't deny the facts yourself: People may disregard that. Instead, use trusted - paid - third parties to write letters to editors for newspapers, do TV interviews and offer up opinions without disclosing their conflicts of interest . If the price is right, you can get universities, hospitals, charities and other groups lend an air of legitimacy to your viewpoint. They, in essence, launder your funds: You hire or donate to them and they publish your spin under the legitimacy of the organization which doesn't disclose its connection to you. Reporters and the public mistakenly think they are independent, and press agent hopes the reporters don't think to ask about the third party's true connections. This tactic used to be widely employed for medical-related controversies, with physicians paid by pharmaceutical companies to write letters to newspaper defending a dangerous medicine, but it can be used for most any issue. 

4. Appeal to the Fringe
Remember, with the web, anybody can publish. Exploit that! When legitimate media won't tell your false story the way you want, turn to the widening array of fringe media and bloggers. Get them to write your story, then write about it yourself online, then tweet it all out and before you know it, people lose sight of the original source and think it's real. Maybe someone in the mainstream media will even pick up or pass around your propaganda! Hope for a lazy reporter who won't check the original sourcing or call around to corroborate the facts or get the other side of the story. 

5. Enter Wikiland
Because it has no oversight or appeal body, Wikipedia is a rich resource for your propaganda and spin. The beauty is, you can write false or skewed information and prevent others from changing it! If you don't have an established Wikipedia account, just hire an esteemed veteran Wikipedia editor to do the work for you. Earlier this year, two trusted Wikipedia associates got caught editing the online "encyclopedia" on behalf of PR clients. Much of the public remains unaware as to how Wikipedia really works, and may accept your propaganda as factual. 

6. Label the "Mouthpiece"
When a reporter has found a solid source that you can't seem to discredit or stop, one who's providing truthful but harmful information about your agency or business, accuse the reporter of being a "mouthpiece" for the source. Hope that makes the reporter or his bosses question using the source for further stories. If they're too smart for that, make the same accusation publicly to try to discredit the reporting with ordinary people who don't know better. 

7. FOI-fuscate
Turn Freedom of Information (FOI) law on its head and use it to help you hide information rather than disclose it. When a reporter asks for material under FOI, tell him he's got to go to the end of a long, long line. Then, wait months or years to answer the request. True, that may violate FOI law, but challenging it takes time and money. By then, the story won't be news anymore. 

8. Open the Floodgates
When you don't want to do an interview, but want to spin the reporter, flood him with reams of useless information, press releases, emails and articles. Talk with him incessantly on the phone without giving any useful material or answering his questions. Refer him to other people who will also provide only useless information. Fill up his time. Delay and distract from the issue at hand. Promise real information but never give it. Tell him you want to give him "background" and "context," but that he can't quote you and it's all off-the-record. You can slip in unverified or untrue information and allegations. Hopefully, you'll be able to sway the reporter without providing any evidence on the record that he can disprove. 

9. Ignore
The flipside of "Opening the Floodgates": When things look so bad that there's nothing you can do to coat it with sugar, and you don't want to talk to the reporter, just ignore his calls and requests. Taking lumps for not providing any information is better than telling the truth or even trying to spin it. Elected officials, public servants and government agencies increasingly employ this tactic. 

10. Use Charities and Non-Profits to Disguise
The charity world is one of great potential for your PR propaganda because there's relatively little disclosure and oversight. Also, people want to believe the best in a charity or non-profit and won't think to question it. First, start up a non-profit or charity. It's easy. Front it with ordinary-looking people. Then, push your agenda through them. Get them to call news organizations, publish your material, spin the media - all without disclosing their financial ties to you. Hope that reporters don't ask about or research the charity's origins.

US Secretly Built ‘Cuban Twitter’ to Stir Unrest

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. government masterminded the creation of a "Cuban Twitter" — a communications network designed to undermine the communist government in Cuba, built with secret shell companies and financed through foreign banks, The Associated Press has learned.

The project, which lasted more than two years and drew tens of thousands of subscribers, sought to evade Cuba's stranglehold on the Internet with a primitive social media platform. First, the network would build a Cuban audience, mostly young people; then, the plan was to push them toward dissent. 

Yet its users were neither aware it was created by a U.S. agency with ties to the State Department, nor that American contractors were gathering personal data about them, in the hope that the information might be used someday for political purposes.

It is unclear whether the scheme was legal under U.S. law, which requires written authorization of covert action by the president and congressional notification. Officials at USAID would not say who had approved the program or whether the White House was aware of it. The Cuban government declined a request for comment.

At minimum, details uncovered by the AP appear to muddy the U.S. Agency for International Development's longstanding claims that it does not conduct covert actions, and could undermine the agency's mission to deliver aid to the world's poor and vulnerable — an effort that requires the trust and cooperation of foreign governments.
USAID and its contractors went to extensive lengths to conceal Washington's ties to the project, according to interviews and documents obtained by the AP. They set up front companies in Spain and the Cayman Islands to hide the money trail, and recruited CEOs without telling them they would be working on a U.S. taxpayer-funded project. 

"There will be absolutely no mention of United States government involvement," according to a 2010 memo from Mobile Accord Inc., one of the project's creators. "This is absolutely crucial for the long-term success of the service and to ensure the success of the Mission."

The project, dubbed "ZunZuneo," slang for a Cuban hummingbird's tweet, was publicly launched shortly after the 2009 arrest in Cuba of American contractor Alan Gross. He was imprisoned after traveling repeatedly to the country on a separate, clandestine USAID mission to expand Internet access using sensitive technology that only governments use.

USAID said in a statement that it is "proud of its work in Cuba to provide basic humanitarian assistance, promote human rights and fundamental freedoms, and to help information flow more freely to the Cuban people," whom it said "have lived under an authoritarian regime" for 50 years. The agency said its work was found to be "consistent with U.S. law."

Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and chairman of the Appropriations Committee's State Department and foreign operations subcommittee, said the ZunZuneo revelations were troubling.

"There is the risk to young, unsuspecting Cuban cellphone users who had no idea this was a U.S. government-funded activity," he said. "There is the clandestine nature of the program that was not disclosed to the appropriations subcommittee with oversight responsibility. And there is the fact that it was apparently activated shortly after Alan Gross, a USAID subcontractor who was sent to Cuba to help provide citizens access to the Internet, was arrested." 

The AP obtained more than 1,000 pages of documents about the project's development. It independently verified the project's scope and details in the documents through publicly available databases, government sources and interviews with those involved in ZunZuneo.

ZunZuneo would seem to be a throwback from Cold War, and the decades-long struggle between the United States and Cuba. It came at a time when the historically sour relationship between the countries had improved, at least marginally, and Cuba had made tentative steps toward a more market-based economy.

The social media project began development in 2009 after Washington-based Creative Associates International obtained a half-million Cuban cellphone numbers. It was unclear to the AP how the numbers were obtained, although documents indicate they were done so illicitly from a key source inside the country's state-run provider. Project organizers used those numbers to start a subscriber base.

ZunZuneo's organizers wanted the social network to grow slowly to avoid detection by the Cuban government. Eventually, documents and interviews reveal, they hoped the network would reach critical mass so that dissidents could organize "smart mobs" — mass gatherings called at a moment's notice — that could trigger political

demonstrations, or "renegotiate the balance of power between the state and society."
The Cuban government has a tight grip on information, and the country's leaders view the Internet as a "wild colt" that "should be tamed." ZunZuneo's leaders planned to push Cuba "out of a stalemate through tactical and temporary initiatives, and get the transition process going again toward democratic change." 

At a 2011 speech at George Washington University, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said the U.S. helps people in "oppressive Internet environments get around filters." Noting Tunisia's role in the Arab Spring, she said people used technology to help "fuel a movement that led to revolutionary change."

Suzanne Hall, then a State Department official working on Clinton's social media efforts, helped spearhead an attempt to get Twitter founder Jack Dorsey to take over the ZunZuneo project. Dorsey declined to comment.

The estimated $1.6 million spent on ZunZuneo was publicly earmarked for an unspecified project in Pakistan, public government data show, but those documents don't reveal where the funds were actually spent.

ZunZuneo's organizers worked hard to create a network that looked like a legitimate business, including the creation of a companion website — and marketing campaign — so users could subscribe and send their own text messages to groups of their choice.
"Mock ad banners will give it the appearance of a commercial enterprise," one written proposal obtained by the AP said. Behind the scenes, ZunZuneo's computers were also storing and analyzing subscribers' messages and other demographic information, including gender, age, "receptiveness" and "political tendencies." USAID believed the demographics on dissent could help it target its other Cuba programs and "maximize our possibilities to extend our reach.".

"It was such a marvelous thing," said Ernesto Guerra, a Cuban user who never suspected his beloved network had ties to Washington.

"How was I supposed to realize that?" Guerra asked in an interview in Havana. "It's not like there was a sign saying, 'Welcome to ZunZuneo, brought to you by USAID.'"
Executives set up a corporation in Spain and an operating company in the Cayman Islands — a well-known British offshore tax haven — to pay the company's bills so the "money trail will not trace back to America," a strategy memo said. That would have been a catastrophic blow, they concluded, because it would undermine the service's credibility with subscribers and get shut down by the Cuban government.

Similarly, subscribers' messages were funneled through two other countries — but never through American-based computer servers.

Denver-based Mobile Accord considered at least a dozen candidates to head the European front company. One candidate, Francoise de Valera, told the AP she was told nothing about Cuba or U.S. involvement.

James Eberhard, Mobile Accord's CEO and a key player in the project's development, declined to comment. Creative Associates referred questions to USAID.
For more than two years, ZunZuneo grew and reached at least 40,000 subscribers. But documents reveal the team found evidence Cuban officials tried to trace the text messages and break into the ZunZuneo system. USAID told the AP that ZunZuneo stopped in September 2012 when a government grant ended.

ZunZuneo vanished abruptly in 2012, and the Communist Party remains in power — with no Cuban Spring on the horizon.

"The moment when ZunZuneo disappeared, (it) was like a vacuum," said Guerra, the ZunZuneo user. "In the end, we never learned what happened. We never learned where it came from."

Posting comments on news sites is something I do on a regular basis. I have always followed  politics and current events and never really looked for media bias. The extent of the bias should be the news.

The bias of reporters and news organizations is well known and it even permeates their comment sections of their news stories. Some sites are moderated, but all have a group of trolls. The battle for the political narrative will be won at any cost by the left. These trolls, which I call Obamabots, have
THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of posts. Their disqus accounts are almost always locked for privacy so you cannot see the followers and who they are  following. These Obamabots are easy to spot.

At McClatchy News the 2 most active members are responsible for 8 percent of the total posts. The usual MO is to target the conservative poster as a 'teabagger'. The usual argument style is to deflect and project.  The up arrows or likes also show who liked or up voted the posts.

Trolls  travel in packs and appear to use sockpuppet accounts too. These 2  I call  McClatchy  Muppets.  Using a hyperlink to source or a youtube video to prove your point is reported as 'spam' and the leftist moderator deletes your comment. If they complain enough, you will be banned. Posts appear as new comments (time stamp), and the Obamabots posts will already be  liked or voted up already. The frequency to which that happens is worth noting when commenting or replying on an article. It is usually wise to not feed the trolls.

The repetition of their disinformation is key to controlling the narrative. Never accept their false premises in a debate. It is the most common technique. It will start with 'So what you are really saying' Control the narrative.

The BIG LIE is the favorite of the left when it comes to gun control.  The following troll's post is classic propaganda technique in many ways, but the best place is just to start at the 'source' cited by the commenter 'dfstan'. I didn't receive a reply from 'dfstan' on that comment.

I found the column by Joe Nocera, “Last week’s gun news,” very interesting.
No one argues that people kill others with guns. Unfortunately, it happens too frequently in this country.
Are more restrictions the answer? Not if you use New York City as an example. The article stated that the city broke a nine-day murder-free streak last week.
Nine days murder-free doesn’t sound that long to me, especially when you consider that, since 1911, New York state has some of the most restrictive gun control laws.
It is almost impossible for anyone in New York City to obtain a license to carry a concealed weapon, and yet this city has always had one of the highest murder rates in the country.
Gun control is obviously not working there, so why should we think that’s the answer for the rest of the country?
Seems to me that we’re grasping at straws in thinking that gun control will solve the problem.
We need a better solution to this awful heritage.

But the mission was called off after Donald H. Rumsfeld.... Members of a Navy Seals unit in parachute gear had already boarded C-130 cargo planes in Afghanistan when the mission was canceled, said a former senior intelligence official involved in the planning.
