Sanders Delegates to Hold ‘fart-in’ Protest at Convention

Let the headline sink in and quit saying photoshop.

Nothing is more progressive than flatulence. In fact. you wouldn't have modern day progressivism or even a President Barack Obama without farts.   Does it sound too fart-fetched to you ? It really shouldn't because it is community organizing and  Saul Alinsky by the book.

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are disciples of Saul Alinsky yet they dare not speak his name. Now back to the article at TheHill

Bernie Sanders endorsement of Hillary Clinton on Tuesday isn’t stopping his supporters plans to hold a “fart-in” at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) later this month.

The unusual political strategy will have Sanders delegates consuming a lot of beans before heading to Philadelphia later this month, according to US News and World Report.

Protest organizer Cheri Honkala, national coordinator for the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign, has been stocking up on boxes of dry beans and canned beans.

The plan is for delegates to chow down, then let presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton smell what they think of her.

"The fart-in is to raise attention about things that really stink in our society,” said Dr. Walter Tsou, of the Philadelphia branch of Physicians for Social Responsibility.

Honkala told US News and World Report that Tuesday's endorsement will not stop the "fart-in," — in face, she said, the number of people sending beans "will probably quadruple.”

Honkala also said beans of all sorts and varieties have already been delivered to the organization's office in Philadelphia from as far afield as Texas and Wisconsin.

Sanders on Tuesday explained his decision to endorse Clinton, saying it is the best way to advance progressive values.

"Today, I endorsed Hillary Clinton to be our next president. I know that some of you will be disappointed with that decision," he said.

"But I believe that, at this moment, our country, our values, and our common vision for a transformed America are best served by the defeat of Donald Trump and the election of Hillary Clinton.”

Bernie Sanders: Just Another Progressive Fraud

Bernie Sanders, the democratic socialist from Vermont that caucuses with the Democrats is the perfect example of a progressive populist politician. The far-left Bernie Sanders is running for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States against Hillary Clinton, the queen of liars. How can Bernie Sanders possibly compete against the Clinton political machine ? Tell really BIG LIES too.

Progressives will proudly believe ANY lie told to them. In fact, cognitive dissonance is their specialty.

Recycling that discredited stat is intellectually lazy and dishonest. Great Job Bernie. .   Not only was the 77 cents on the dollar myth debunked, Bernie Sanders now says the rate is 78 cents for performing the same work.  B.S.

A Bernie Sanders 'supporter' links to this to prove I am wrong..

Updated with payscale tweet and graphic

Populist pablum is predictable and pathetic which makes Bernie Sanders the progressive prince of  B.S.  It cannot be just a coincidence that B.S. happens to be Sanders' initials too.

How pathetic is Bernie Sanders? A few of my previous blogs have examined  this B.S. artist.

Comrade Commissar Clinton

Politics and Propaganda go hand in hand just like Politico and the Democratic party. And speaking of, the following  tweet from Politico caught my attention

Inside Hillary’s campaign headquarters

The poster on the wall immediately caught my attention and seemed rather 'Stalinesque' and rather fitting considering the new left lurching populist pandering coming from the Clinton Campaign.   A Closer look of the poster :

Now a trip down propaganda memory lane with a few of the other progressives from world history.

Hillary Clinton is in good company. They all have the blood of their countrymen on their hands, embrace the far left for maximum power and control of the masses and are 'ethically challenged'. Most importantly, they know what is best for you and know you aren't bright enough to realize it.  Your resistance is futile. .

Hillary is a progressive populist of convenience.

Hillary Clinton should be in the movies. In fact,  it is called Hillary The Movie.

Remember, when it comes to progressives peddling populism, equality and fairness are just talking points. In fact, when examined closely, we find that  “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”

Obama Flip-Flops on 'Corporate Welfare' Export-Import Bank

From The Hill
President Obama pushed Congress to extend the Export-Import Bank when lawmakers return to Washington next month.

The Export-Import Bank, which provides financing for projects designed to increase U.S. exports, is scheduled to shut down on Sept. 30 unless Congress acts to prevent it.

In his weekly address Saturday, Obama said that the risks of allowing the bank to shut down would be too great.

“We should be doing everything we can to accelerate this progress, not stall it,” he urged. “Small business owners have had to overcome a lot these past several years. We all saw local businesses close their doors during the crisis. And in the past few years, we’ve seen more and more open their doors and do their part to help lead America’s comeback. At the very least, they deserve a Congress that doesn’t stand in the way of their success.”

Republicans have been divided over whether the Ex-Im Bank should be renewed. Some conservatives have argued the bank is a form of corporate welfare, but Democrats have said the program is needed to keep the United States economically competitive with countries that heavily subsidize industries.

Obama said in his address there was precedent for bipartisan support for the Ex-Im Bank in the past.

Barack Obama was against the Export-Import Bank Before He was For It ...
“Past Congresses have done this 16 times, always with support from both parties,” he said. “Republican and Democratic presidents have supported the bank, too. This time around shouldn’t be any different. Because the bank works. It’s independent. It pays for itself. But if Congress fails to act, thousands of businesses, large and small, that sell their products abroad will take a completely unnecessary hit.”

He also urged voters to contact their representatives about the pending Ex-Im reauthorization during the remainder of the congressional August recess.

“Your members of Congress are home this month,” he said. “If you’re a small business owner or employee of a large business that depends on financing to tackle new markets and create new jobs, tell them to quit treating your business like it’s expendable, and start treating it for what it is: vital to America’s success. Tell them to do their jobs – keep America’s exports growing, and keep America’s recovery going.

The Democrat's Dark Money Group 'Democracy Alliance'

Two articles at the Washington Free Beacon expose the Democrat's secretive dark money machine Democracy Alliance. This is how liberals can funnel large amounts of money to progressive groups in a coordinated fashion without being exposed or demonized like the Koch Brothers. Hypocrisy knows no bounds on the left.

Markay Discusses Story on Democracy Alliance’s Confidential Document

May 6, 2014
Washington Free Beacon reporter Lachlan Markay was a guest on The DerekHunter Show Tuesday night to discuss his scoop on the left-wing DemocracyAlliance and its secret list of wealthy liberal partners in its money-funneling efforts.

The shadowy group’s conference in Chicago last week got almost no attention from members of the media besides the Free Beacon, with Markay pointing out that only Politico reporter Kenneth Vogel was also in attendance.

“There are details out there, but they do everything in their power to make sure that everything that goes on there is as secretive as possible,” Markay said.

Markay found a document on the floor going over some of the new DemocracyAlliance members, prompting his story. He reported:

Read the Confidential Document Left Behind at the Democracy Alliance Meeting
A list of new members of the Democracy Alliance offers a revealing look into the secret group of liberal billionaires
The Democracy Alliance takes pains to ensure that its work disbursing millions of dollars to top left-wing organizations remains secretive and free from public scrutiny. But a document left on the floor of the group’s recent gathering reveals for the first time the names of a number of individuals involved in the effort.

It lists new Democracy Alliance “partners,” individuals who every year must pay$30,000 in dues and contribute at least $200,000 to the groups that DA supports. It also reveals names of DA “advisers,” foundation participants, and individuals getting a “sneak peek” at the group’s activities.

Among its new partners are top labor union bosses, financial and business leaders, and heirs to billion-dollar fortunes who have made names for themselves as high-dollar Democratic donors.

Security was tight at the Democracy Alliance conference last week at the chic Ritz Carlton in Chicago. Politico reporter Ken Vogel was manhandled by security when he tried to interview an attendee. Other conference-goers ripped off their nametags when a Washington Free Beacon reporter approached.

The Democracy Alliance does not actually accept donations. Instead, it solicits contributions from left-wing millionaires and billionaires, and serves as a “pass through” between those donors and top liberal advocacy groups, including the Center for American Progress, Media Matters for America, and Democratic Super PAC Priorities USA.

The group emphasizes secrecy in all of its operations, even as its members and the DA “favored organizations” to which they donate decry the role of “dark money” in American politics. DA does not disclose details of any of the transactions it facilitates, and its members and donation recipients are prohibited from speaking publicly about the organization and its operations.

While few conference attendees would speak with the Free Beacon last week, one mistakenly left a revealing document on the floor of a publicly accessible area of the conference. The list of new partners provides previously unreported details on one of the left’s most powerful dark money groups.

Big Labor Bucks

Labor unions have for decades served as financiers for some of the left’s most prominent think tanks and activist groups. The list of new DA partner reveals increasing involvement by top labor bosses in the group’s work financing those organizations.

New members in 2014 include Noel Beasley, president of Workers United, a textile union affiliated with the Service Employees International Union, and Keith Mestrich, president of the union-owned Amalgamated Bank, where Beasley, also a SEIU vice president, serves as chairman.

Amalgamated, which is majority-owned by the SEIU, is still owed $8.5 million by the Democratic National Committee for a pair of loans taken out in 2012 to support the DNC’s work to reelect President Barack Obama.

“We are a partisan bank that’s owned by a union,” Mestrich told theWashington Post last year. “There’s no question that unions are very tight with the Democratic Party, and we make no bones about that.” He would not answer questions about the bank’s involvement with the Democracy Alliance at last week’s conference.

The addition of top officials at Workers United and Amalgamated comes after DA added other top labor bosses in 2013, according to the list of new members.

Larry Cohen, president of the Communications Workers of America, and Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, both signed on as partners last year. The document also lists CWA senior director George Kohl and Michelle Ringuette, Weingarten’s assistant, as new partners in 2013.

Weingarten and Cohen both sit on the board of the Economic Policies Institute, a labor-funded think tank. Richard Trumka, who attended last week’s conference, is also a board member, as are SEIU president and DA board member Mary Kay Henry, and one-time DA board member Robert Johnson.

While union higher ups are well compensated—Weingarten and Cohen made$550,000 and $200,000 in 2012, respectively, while Ringuette and Kohl each pulled down more than $150,000—the $100,000 minimum aggregate contribution requirement likely means that AFT and CWA, rather than the individuals listed, are the entities providing DA pass-through funds, with top union officials serving as liaisons.

The Washington Free Beacon Article continues with a profile of a few BIG donors.:

E-Cigarette Ban: The Nanny State Progressives Strike Again

-The nanny-state progressives  like former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg or Barack Obama and his minions have always been about control  under the guise of the public good since they know what is best for the masses. Socialism, in it's many reincarnations, is the enemy of individual freedom and the Republic. Read the rationales from the supporters of the ban closely.
From the news wire:
The New York ban — along with the measure in Chicago, one that previously went into effect in Los Angeles and federal regulations proposed last week — are keeping debate smoldering among public health officials, the e-cigarette industry and users.
Proponents of the bans, which began Tuesday, say they are aimed at preventing the re-acceptance of smoking as a societal norm, particularly among teenagers who could see the tobacco-free electronic cigarettes, with their candy-like flavorings and celebrity endorsers, as a gateway to cancer-causing tobacco products.
Dr. Thomas Farley, the New York City health commissioner under former Mayor Michael Bloomberg, says allowing electronic cigarettes in bars and restaurants would undermine existing bans on tobacco-based products

"Imagine for a moment you're at a bar and there are 20 people who are puffing on something that looks like a cigarette and then somebody smells something that smells like tobacco smoke," Farley says. "How's the bartender going to know who to tap on the shoulder and say, 'Put that out'?"
Makers of the devices say marketing them as e-cigarettes has confused lawmakers into thinking they are the same as tobacco-based cigarettes. They say the bans ostracize people who want an alternative to tobacco products and will be especially hard on ex-smokers who are being lumped into the same smoking areas as tobacco users.

Their defenders also say they're a good way to quit tobacco, even though science is murky on the claim.
Peter Denholtz, the chief executive and co-founder of the Henley Vaporium in Manhattan, says electronic cigarettes "could be the greatest invention of our lifetime in terms of saving lives" by moving smokers away from traditional cigarettes.
"This law just discourages that," he says.
Chris Jehly, a 31-year-old Brooklyn resident, also defends the devices as a vehicle for quitting.
"The tougher they're going to make it on vapers, the tougher it is people are going to find an actual vehicle for quitting or as a supplement to cigarettes," Jehly says from his perch at the counter at Henley. "There's no need for it. This is working so much better than patches or gum or prescription drugs."
Robin Koval, chief executive of the anti-smoking Legacy Foundation, says that while ingredients in electronic cigarettes are not as harmful as those in tobacco products, they are still a concern because they contain highly addictive nicotine. The National Institutes of Health says users could expose themselves to toxic levels of nicotine while refilling the devices or even use them to smoke other substances.
Since little evidence exists on the effect of the devices on smoking — whether as an aid in quitting, a gateway for non-smokers or a bridge to keep smokers hooked longer — she says she favors a legislative approach that balances public health with the development of safer alternatives.
"The right way forward will be a way that promotes innovation that helps us do everything we possibly can to get combustible tobacco to be history," Koval says. "We want a generation of Americans where, for them, cigarettes are a thing of the past — an artifact like a roll of film or a rotary telephone."
-Now that marijuana is being 'legalized' in my states, just wait until you see what the progressives do with this new found 'freedom' by way of regulations, restrictions and taxes.
