SNL Premiere Basically a Hillary Clinton Campaign Ad

NBC and MSNBC have long slanted left politically and they do little to disguise it.  The liberal slant of their news and entertainment programming isn't that subtle yet their news programming raises questions on their journalistic responsibilities as a member of the 'fourth estate'. The Brian William's fiasco highlighted NBC 's lack of credibility in the news business but what about their entertainment side of the business?

The season premiere of NBC 's Saturday Night Live was just another example.  After appearing last Sunday on NBC 's  Meet the Press with Chuck Todd fielding mostly softball questions with little followup. the segment was designed to let Hillary Clinton address her criticisms and boost the shows sagging ratings, Hillary Clinton was given even more network time on SNL to rehabilitate her image and try to connect with the zero information Democratic voters.  An excerpt from The Daily Beast:
‘Saturday Night Live’ Premiere Basically a Hillary Clinton Campaign Ad
Miley Cyrus may have hosted the SNL Season 41 premiere, but the show was all about applauding Hillary Clinton—and not just when she appeared.

Live From New York…it’s a Hillary Clinton campaign ad.

On Saturday night, Studio 8H was briefly remodeled into a pop-up Ready For Hillary campaign headquarters for the 41st season premiere of Saturday Night Live.

The guest of honor herself even showed up for a heavily teased set, one that was tailor-made to lampoon the two biggest critiques of her persona—that her presidential ambition can at times read as deranged entitlement and desperation, and that she lacks relatable charisma—all while not-so-slyly dropping campaign platform items disguised as jokes.

And how much does Clinton want to be president? That she’s willing to sing “Lean On Me” on national television in order to get it. (Give the inevitable Democratic nominee credit: She’s the only political candidate in the race right now embarrassing herself on purpose.)
The Democrats and their coalition were quick to criticize the Citizens United SCOTUS decision because more money in politics would actually help level the field since the MSM leans left by every measure.  The Democrats controlled the narrative on almost all of the nightly newscasts and their party message saturated prime time entertainment and even late night cable shows like The Daily Show, which starred secret Obama loyalist Jon Stewart. The campaign finance ruling held out hope for actual free speech in the United States. Free speech, which was squelched by the 'fourth estate' for decades.

The fact that Hillary Clinton's failed campaign in 2008 was the reason for the Citizens United SCOTUS decision is something to relish as we watch her downward slide in the polls and the desperation of her media allies and her campaign to stop the bleeding.  The following video made by Citizens Untied  and was quashed by the Hillary Campaign and the FEC.

The story behind the video:
WASHINGTON, June 29 (UPI) -- The U.S. Supreme Court said Monday it wants a case involving federal election law and an attack "documentary" on Hillary Clinton reheard next September.
The justices said new argument should address two key Supreme Court precedents upholding federal election law and whether the high court should "overrule either or both."
At stake in the case is a provision of a 2002 federal campaign law that bans "election communications" funded by corporations or unions close to an election.
The justices heard argument earlier this term, with former U.S. Solicitor General Ted Olson representing the producers of "Hillary, the Movie." The film's backers wanted to make it available as an "on demand" movie on cable television during the 2008 race for the presidency.
But federal courts ruled the movie, financed partly with funds from unnamed corporations, violated the 2002 McCain-Feingold law.
Deputy U.S. Solicitor General Malcolm Stewart, defending the law, suggested the Constitution not only allows the restriction of the "documentary" message when offered "on demand," but also on the Internet, on a DVD or in a book, even at a public library.
(Citizens United vs. Federal Election Commission, No. 08-205.)
The media may fail to hold Hillary Clinton accountable for her lies and misdeeds but the Citizens United decision means that Hillary Clinton will have to answer for her shenanigans to the voter. A voter who may actually be exposed to information and narratives not tightly controlled by the Clinton political machine and aided by their allies in the press and network entertainment..

Up Late: When Alec Baldwin Met Bill de Blasio

MSNBC's 'Up Late With Alec Baldwin' Debuts With Policy Discussions in a Diner

When Harry endorsed Sally
Alec Baldwin's foray as an MSNBC late night host began with jazzy intro music and a friendly chat with New York City mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio on a set that resembled  an old-time diner.

Up Late With Alec Baldwin debuted on Friday at 10 p.m. ET, slotted in the same one hour frame as Real Time With Bill Maher.

Bill de Blasio and Alec Baldwin reenact the classic scene from  'When Harry Met Sally'

Altruism is the morality of cannibals.

@MSNBC - Inexplicable Propaganda

Steve Benen

Now an excerpt from another @MSNBC article not worth reading  Inexplicably renewing the OBL debate
---------------------------------------------------
"I continue to find this entire line of attack deeply strange. For one thing, Sununu is relying on an odd anti-Obama book that has struggled badly to stand up to scrutiny.
For another, Obama wasn't "timid on the first two or three opportunities." On the contrary, it was Donald Rumsfeld who called off missions to get bin Laden he considered too risky."
Concludes with.....
"But from a purely strategic perspective, what does Sununu hope to gain from resuming this fight? How does it help Romney to remind everyone that Obama took an enormous risk when he ordered the strike, but he made the tough call and it paid off?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now we examine the highlighted  sentence above and follow the link to called off missions  to get bin laden and what do we find?  The link points to AQ leadership and Bin Laden is NOT on the LIST
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
But Glenn Thrush highlights another tidbit that seems important: six years ago, the U.S. was poised to launch a raid in Pakistan against al Qaeda, but Rumsfeld called it off. It was, he decided at the time, too risky.
A secret military operation in early 2005 to capture senior members of Al Qaeda in Pakistan's tribal areas was aborted at the last minute after top Bush administration officials decided it was too risky and could jeopardize relations with Pakistan, according to intelligence and military officials.
The target was a meeting of Qaeda leaders that intelligence officials thought included Ayman al-Zawahri, Osama bin Laden's top deputy and the man believed to run the terrorist group's operations.
But the mission was called off after Donald H. Rumsfeld.... Members of a Navy Seals unit in parachute gear had already boarded C-130 cargo planes in Afghanistan when the mission was canceled, said a former senior intelligence official involved in the planning.
 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The article is more than flawed and I just highlighted the most glaring example of an outright LIE.
@MSNBC cannot be considered a news outlet by any measure and the consumers of this pablum deserve ridicule and scorn.

Talking Points Memo and MSNBC Push the Ryan is Lyin' MEME about GM

Talking Points Memo and MSNBC Pushes the Paul Ryan is Lying MEME About the Janesville GM Plant Closing under Bush.

Paul Ryan Speech Slams Obama For Wisconsin Factory That Closed Under Bush  Paul Ryan Speech Slams Obama For Wisconsin Factory That Closed Under Bush

"Paul Ryan, repeating a line from his stump speech, slammed President Obama for failing to rescue an auto plant he visited in Wisconsin in 2008:
A lot of guys I went to high school with worked at that GM plant. Right there at that plant, candidate Obama said: “I believe that if our government is there to support you … this plant will be here for another hundred years.”  That’s what he said in 2008. Well, as it turned out, that plant didn’t last another year.  It is locked up and empty to this day.  And that’s how it is in so many towns today, where the recovery that was promised is nowhere in sight.
Only problem -- the plant closed in 2008. As in, under President George W. Bush"

 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First, the basics for my Comrades on the Left, May I present Google and Wiki.

Janesville GM Assembly Plant

GM Plant in Janesville WI open until June 2009
In October 2008, GM announced Janesville Assembly would be largely idled December 23, 2008 when production of SUVs would end.[10] A skeleton crew continued to work at Janesville Assembly through June, 2009, completing the Janesville/Isuzu light truck contract.

2010

On January 13, 2010 GM put Janesville Assembly on stand-by to produce new vehicles due to recent increase in demand for GM vehicles

Wait, there is more:

"Wisconsin provided GM with $10 million in grants in 2004 to help with a $175 million plant overhaul. The deal required GM to keep 3,330 workers at the plant through 2010, but the payroll has been shrinking, going from 4,100 in 2003 to about 1,600 as of last month"  GM Speeds Up Janesville Plant Closing
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obama did speak at the Janesville plant in February 2008, and suggested a government partnership with automakers could keep the plant open, but made no promises as Ryan suggested?

"I believe if our government is there to support you, and give you the assistance you need to re-tool and make this transition, that this plant will be here for another hundred years," Obama said.
From The Detroit News: http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120817/POLITICS01/208170356#ixzz250ozAvUi

"Reports that the GM plant I visited in Janesville may shut down sooner than expected are a painful reminder of the tough economic times facing working families across this country. This news is also a reminder that Washington needs to finally live up to its promise to help our automakers compete in our global economy. As president, I will lead an effort to retool plants like the GM facility in Janesville so we can build the fuel-efficient cars of tomorrow and create good-paying jobs in Wisconsin and all across America."
Barack Obama Thrice Mentioned Janesville GM Plant In 2008

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, that's right, they couldn't officially close the plant, and not in December of 2008. So YES, Obama could have helped the factory. Remember the Auto Bailout?  TPM, MSNBC and all the hosts owe Paul Ryan an apology and should resign. Obama's Speech in Janesville, Wisconsin

An attendee at the Republican National Convention in Tampa on Tuesday allegedly threw nuts at a black camerawoman working for CNN and said “This is how we feed animals” before being removed from the convention, a network official confirmed to TPM.
The CNN official declined to confirm specific details of the incident to TPM but generally confirmed an account posted on Twitter by former MSNBC and Current anchor David Shuster: “GOP attendee ejected for throwing nuts at African American CNN camera woman + saying ‘This is how we feed animals.’”
It is not clear whether the alleged culprit was a delegate or attending the convention in some other capacity.
In a written statement, CNN addressed the matter but divulged few details: “CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon. CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment.”

Well, if former MSNBC and Current anchor David Shuster implies racism, it is surely a meme Talking Points Memo is willing to PUSH. Previous blog on TPM's  Race-Hustle The Leftist Race-Hustlers at TPM should Buzz Off about Voter ID
