Things Hillary Clinton couldn’t recall in her FBI interview

This Friday news dump includes the FBI notes from the Hillary Clinton private email server investigation. Hillary is unable to recall things that would prove her actions were intentional...

The many things Hillary Clinton couldn’t recall in her FBI interview

In the three hours-plus that Hillary Clinton spoke with FBI investigators about her private email server on July 2, she cited more than three-dozen things that she could not recall.
Among them were things such as specific emails that perhaps nobody could be expected to remember years later, but Clinton also said she had no recollection of several key moments when it came to her email server, including briefings on how to handle classified information and key conversations about her server.
In at least one case, according to documents released Friday by the FBI, Clinton said she could not recall every briefing she had received after a 2012 concussion, which later led to a blood clot in her head.

"Clinton stated she received no instructions or direction regarding the preservation or production of records from [the] State [Department] during the transition out of her role as secretary of state in 2013," the report says. "However, in December of 2012, Clinton suffered a concussion and then around the New Year had a blood clot. Based on her doctor’s advice, she could only work at State for a few hours a day and could not recall every briefing she received."
The language doesn't make clear whether Clinton was blaming her concussion for being unable to recall specific briefings and, if so, during which specific time period. The concussion and blood clot were well-publicized at the time.
Among the other things Clinton could "not recall" or "did not remember," according to the summary of her interview with the FBI: (video)

"Significant Security Risks": State Dept Says Clinton Broke Rules Using Private Email Server

The inspector general could only repeat what has been said about Hillary Clinton and her email server. She lied about most everything.  From Democracy Now ...
An internal government watchdog has concluded Hillary Clinton broke government rules by using a private email server without approval while she was secretary of state. That was the key finding of a long-awaited report by the State Department inspector general. The report concluded that Clinton would not have been allowed to use a private server in her home had she asked department officials in charge of information security, because it posed "significant security risks." This contradicts claims by Clinton that use of a home server was allowed and that no permission was needed. The report also criticized Clinton for not properly preserving emails she wrote and received on her personal account. According to the report, Clinton and eight of her deputies, including Cheryl Mills, Jake Sullivan and Huma Abedin, declined to be interviewed for the inspector general’s investigation. Clinton’s use of a private email server for State Department business is also the subject of an ongoing FBI investigation. We speak to journalist Michael Tracey.

More hidden and incriminating email found again  .....

(Excerpt)
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was supposed to have turned over all work-related emails to the State Department to be released to the public. But an agency audit found at least three emails never seen before — including Clinton's own explanation of why she wanted her emails kept private.
After 14 months of public scrutiny and skepticism over Clinton's motives in keeping her emails secret, new questions emerged Thursday. They centered on her apparent failure to turn over a November 2010 message in which she worried that her personal messages could become accessible to outsiders, along with two other messages a year later that divulged possible security weaknesses in the home email system she used while secretary of state.
The Clinton campaign has previously denied that her home server was breached, but newly revealed emails show an aide worried it could have been compromised.
The existence of these previously unreleased messages — which appear to have been found among electronic files of four former top Clinton State Department aides — renews concerns that Clinton was not completely forthcoming when she turned over a trove of 55,000 pages of work-related emails. And it has drawn fresh criticism from presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
On Thursday, Clinton said she had been forthcoming with her personal emails.
"I have provided all of my work-related emails, and I've asked that they be made public, and I think that demonstrates that I wanted to make sure that this information was part of the official records," Clinton said, according to an interview transcript provided by ABC News.
Most of those messages have been made public by the State Department over the past year due to both a court order and Clinton's willingness to turn them over. But hundreds were censored for national security reasons and 22 emails were completely withheld because the agency said they contained top secret material — a matter now under investigation by the FBI.........

Hillary Clinton's Top Aide Huma Abedin Signed State Dept. Pledge Before Leaving

Hillary Clinton and all those that surround her are dishonest to say the least and the Benghazi debacle and cover-up is a great example.  Huma Abedin, the wife of disgraced Anthony Weiner, is another Clintonista that will help Hillary gain power by any means necessary. The lies told by Hillary Clinton about the attack on the special mission compound in Benghazi and her email server are numerous and those that aided the cover-up include her staff and the press. Deny, delay and dis-inform is what the Democratic party does best.

The following article is excerpted from TheHIl
Clinton aide Abedin signed State Dept. pledge before leaving
Longtime Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin signed a pledge stating that she had given all work-related documents back to the State Department when she left office, despite the fact that some of her emails did not make it back to the government’s hands until years later.
The Daily Caller on Friday received a copy of the “separation statement” — formally known as an OF-109 form — as result of a lawsuit filed under the Freedom of Information Act.

As part of the agreement, Abedin promised to “have surrendered to responsible officials all classified or administratively controlled documents and material with which I was charged or which I had in my possession.”
She also pledged to have given up all documents “containing classified or administratively controlled information” given during the course of her work, as well as “all unclassified documents, and papers relating to the official business of the government acquired” while in office.
Despite her signature on the form, however, Abedin retained an email address on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email server. Her messages from that server were not handed over to the government until years after she left office in 2013.
In signing the form, Abedin also acknowledged that she could be subject to “criminal penalties” for lying on the document.
It’s unclear whether Abedin would be subject to prosecution, given the unusual nature of Clinton’s private email setup. Yet the revelations Friday add to days of reports that the FBI has expanded its probe into Clinton’s personal server and whether classified information was mishandled.

Abedin served as deputy chief of staff while Clinton served as the nation’s top diplomat. She is currently the vice chairwoman of Clinton’s Democratic presidential campaign.
In addition to Abedin’s form, the Daily Caller also revealed an OF-109 form for Cheryl Mills, Clinton’s former chief of staff. However, Mills did not appear to have signed the form.
Earlier this year, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters that the department did “not have any record” of Clinton herself signing a document.

MTP: Chuck Todd Asks Hillary Clinton About Email & Transparency

Hillary Clinton  made an appearance on NBC Meet The Press Sunday to field some questions about her 'homebrew' e-mail server and transparency.  Chuck Todd, an ally of the Democrats pitched a few softball questions to Hillary and didn't pursue many follow-up questions.  A segment of the MTP interview follows:

Chuck Todd's ratings are low for a reason and allowing Hillary Clinton to spin her story made the segment almost laughable. Todd mentions the Washington Post piece about her emails but doesn't call out this Hillary lie or others. What about The 8 Times Clinton Told A Disproven Story About Her Emails ?  Instead, Chuck Todd basically let Hillary Clinton practice her soundbites and avoided any critical counter-punches.

Hillary can't decide how responsible she is for her emails....
Fortunately, My previous blogs have taken a few jabs at the subject.

FBI Recovers Deleted Emails from Hillary Clinton's Homebrew Server

An excerpt from TheHill:
The FBI has recovered emails from the server that Hillary Clinton used while serving as secretary of State, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday evening, citing someone familiar with the investigation.
Bloomberg reported that federal investigators had recovered both work-related and personal emails from the server that the Democratic presidential candidate had said were deleted.
The federal probe into classified information on the server will likely take several more months at least, the source told Bloomberg, adding that the agency was separating out personal emails.
One government official told The New York Times that it had not been very difficult for the agency to recover the emails from the server, which Clinton gave to investigators in August.
Clinton has said that she deleted about half of the 60,000 emails from her server that she and her aides deemed personal in nature, giving the State Department the rest for archiving.

2nd Review Says Highly Classified/Top Secret Information Was in Hillary Clinton’s Email

The NYTimes has some more bad news for Hillary Clinton today.  Hillary's story about her private email server and classified information was proven beyond any reasonable doubt to be a LIE today.  Democrats will just have to read it and weep or continue to ignore the news and blindly support Hillary Clinton, the pathological liar.  An excerpt follows:

Second Review Says Classified Information Was in Hillary Clinton’s Email

WASHINGTON — A special intelligence review of two emails that Hillary Rodham Clinton received as secretary of state on her personal account — including one about North Korea’s nuclear weapons program — has endorsed a finding by the inspector general for the intelligence agencies that the emails contained highly classified information when Mrs. Clinton received them, senior intelligence officials said.
Mrs. Clinton’s presidential campaign and the State Department disputed the inspector general’s finding last month and questioned whether the emails, which are being released to the public, had been overclassified by an arbitrary process. But the special review — by the Central Intelligence Agency and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency — concluded that the emails were “Top Secret,” the highest classification of government intelligence, when they were sent to Mrs. Clinton in 2009 and 2011.
On Monday, the Clinton campaign disagreed with the conclusion of the intelligence review and noted that agencies within the government often have different views of what should be considered classified.
More:
The intelligence review is the latest development in continuing reverberations over Mrs. Clinton’s use of only a private email account for her public business when she was secretary of state, which gave her some control over what was made public. She faced criticism when the account became known this year, and after deleting what she said were more than 31,000 personal messages turned over more than 30,000 work-related emails for the State Department to make public.
Mrs. Clinton has said that her emails contained no information that was marked classified — having classified information outside a secure government account is illegal — and that she is fully cooperating with an F.B.I. investigation to determine who at the State Department may have passed highly classified information from secure networks to her personal account. She herself is not a target of the investigation.
I. Charles McCullough III, the inspector general for the intelligence community, found the two emails containing what he determined was “Top Secret” information in the course of reviewing a sampling of 40 of Mrs. Clinton’s work-related emails for potential security breaches.
Not only did Hillary Clinton send and receive information that was 'born classified', she had email that was top secret. The reasons for Hillary Clinton's stonewalling, obstruction and obfuscation in regards to the Benghazi investigation and her private email server are more than apparent now. Her failures as Secretary of State are only eclipsed by her lies and criminal conduct.

Hillary Clinton's Aide Doesn't Know What 'Wiping' a Server Means Either

Hillary Clinton's stonewalling of Congress and FOIA requests, aided by the State Department,  in regards to the debacle at Benghazi, Libya  are almost outdone by her outright lies in regards to her personal, private email server. Hillary's claims that she has turned over all her work related emails have been proven to be lies and her claims that there was no classified information on her homebrew server have also been proven to be flalse .  What can top so many lies ? Continuing to pretend to not know what "wiping" the email server means.

Dozens of Hillary Clinton Emails Were Classified from the Start, U.S. Rules Suggest

Hillary Clinton's falsehoods in regards to her private email server and classified information are discredited weekly as even more information comes to light.  A few excerpts from an exclusive by Reuters.....

Exclusive: Dozens of Clinton emails were classified from the start, U.S. rules suggest
For months, the U.S. State Department has stood behind its former boss Hillary Clinton as she has repeatedly said she did not send or receive classified information on her unsecured, private email account, a practice the government forbids.
MSNBC Fact Checks Hillary Clinton’s False Statements About Classified Emails dated 7/27/2015
While the department is now stamping a few dozen of the publicly released emails as "Classified," it stresses this is not evidence of rule-breaking. Those stamps are new, it says, and do not mean the information was classified when Clinton, the Democratic frontrunner in the 2016 presidential election, first sent or received it.
But the details included in those "Classified" stamps — which include a string of dates, letters and numbers describing the nature of the classification — appear to undermine this account, a Reuters examination of the emails and the relevant regulations has found.
The new stamps indicate that some of Clinton's emails from her time as the nation's most senior diplomat are filled with a type of information the U.S. government and the department's own regulations automatically deems classified from the get-go — regardless of whether it is already marked that way or not.
Hillary Clinton quote from the U.N. Press Conference March 10, 2015
In the small fraction of emails made public so far, Reuters has found at least 30 email threads from 2009, representing scores of individual emails, that include what the State Department's own "Classified" stamps now identify as so-called 'foreign government information.' The U.S. government defines this as any information, written or spoken, provided in confidence to U.S. officials by their foreign counterparts.
This sort of information, which the department says Clinton both sent and received in her emails, is the only kind that must be "presumed" classified, in part to protect national security and the integrity of diplomatic interactions, according to U.S. regulations examined by Reuters
"It's born classified," said J. William Leonard, a former director of the U.S. government's Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO). Leonard was director of ISOO, part of the White House's National Archives and Records Administration, from 2002 until 2008, and worked for both the Bill Clinton and George W. Bush administrations.
What kind of information ?
FOR THE SECRETARY'S EYES ONLY
Clinton and her senior staff routinely sent foreign government information among themselves on unsecured networks several times a month, if the State Department's markings are correct. Within the 30 email threads reviewed by Reuters, Clinton herself sent at least 17 emails that contained this sort of information. In at least one case it was to a friend, Sidney Blumenthal, not in government.
The information appears to include privately shared comments by a prime minister, several foreign ministers and a foreign spy chief, unredacted bits of the emails show. Typically, Clinton and her staff first learned the information in private meetings, telephone calls or, less often, in email exchanges with the foreign officials.
In an email from November 2009, the principal private secretary to David Miliband, then the British foreign secretary, indicates that he is passing on information about Afghanistan from his boss in confidence. He writes to Huma Abedin, Clinton's most senior aide, that Miliband "very much wants the Secretary (only) to see this note."

Nearly five pages of entirely redacted information follow. Abedin forwarded it on to Clinton's private email account.

State Dept. Suddenly Discovers Thousands of Emails from Top Clinton Aide

Hillary Clinton and the State Department's cover-up of  Benghazi and  Hillary's emails took a turn for the worse today. A reasonable person can no longer believe that the State Department, the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton are merely inept.  The stonewalling, the leis and  cover-up are intentional and criminal.....

State Dept. turns up thousands of emails from top Clinton aide that previously 'did not exist'.

After it was revealed earlier this year that Clinton, and potentially some of her aides, used personal email accounts for official business, Gawker sued the State Department over its initial request for communications between Reines and reporters.
Gawker asserted the search must not have been exhaustive if it turned up no emails between the press and a State Department spokesman, who regularly communicated with the media.
In March, Reines said reporters would have to ask the State Department about the apparent discrepancy.
In last week’s court filing, the State Department estimated it would begin releasing some of those emails that do not fall within an exemption on Sept. 30. It will release more every 30 days as they are reviewed.
The agency said it does not know how many of the 17,855 are exempt from disclosure and will have to be redacted or handed over to other agencies for redaction. It said it is willing to negotiate with Gawker to narrow the scope of the request.
The emails at issue from Reines’s official State Department account are separate from the 20 boxes of emails from his personal account that he handed over to the State Department last month, related to the controversy about Clinton’s use of a private email account and server.

ISIS Chemical Weapons Attack in Syria Exposes the Obama Administration's Deceit & Failure

More bad news for Barack Obama, his administration and the Democrats today.  More events in Syria tarnish Obama's already failed foreign policy 'legacy'. A legacy of deception, appeasement, weakness and failure.

Officials confirm ISIS used mustard agent in Syria

If the origins of the mustard gas is from Syria, it is just another example of the failure of Obama's chemical weapons agreement with Syria. If the origins of the mustard gas is from Iraq, it is just another example of WMD that were in Iraq. If it was just an improvised weapon, then it highlights the fact that the Obama administration also aided ISIS to fight Assad in Syria by moving arms from Benghazi,  Libya through Turkey to their destination in Syria. This chemical weapon attack by ISIS in Syria  was bad news, especially for Obama and the Democrats.

Hillary Clinton Will Turn Over Email Server to Justice Department

Hillary Clinton isn't capable of transparency or truth-telling. Then again, Obama's Justice Department isn't capable of neutrality or seeking real justice. From TheHIll.com:
Hillary Clinton will turn over her private email server and a backup thumb drive to the Justice Department, her spokesman confirmed Tuesday.
The news comes just hours after the Intelligence Community Inspector General told Congress that her email server contained emails that have now been classified “top secret.”
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) released two pages of the memo sent to a handful of members of Congress that confirmed the finding.
“This information revealed by the inspector general makes it even more important that the FBI and the State Department secure these documents,” he said.

“To date, the two agencies most critical to securing this information have failed to assure the American people that they are taking the necessary steps to protect America’s national security interests.”
The State Department is also looking into Clinton’s top aides to learn whether any other unclassified information is unaccounted for, McClatchy reported
“We will follow the facts wherever they lead, to include former aides and associates, as appropriate,” said Douglas Welty, a spokesman for the State Department’s inspector general.
A little bit more about the emails as excerpted from McClatchyDC:

‘Top Secret’ emails found as Clinton probe expands to key aides
As pressure builds on Hillary Clinton to explain her official use of personal email while serving as secretary of state, she faced new complications Tuesday. It was disclosed her top aides are being drawn into a burgeoning federal inquiry and that two emails on her private account have been classified as “Top Secret.”
The inspector general for the Intelligence Community notified senior members of Congress that two of four classified emails discovered on the server Clinton maintained at her New York home contained material deemed to be in one of the highest security classifications - more sensitive than previously known.
The notice came as the State Department inspector general’s office acknowledged that it is reviewing the use of “personal communications hardware and software” by Clinton’s former top aides after requests from Congress.
“We will follow the facts wherever they lead, to include former aides and associates, as appropriate,” said Douglas Welty, a spokesman for the State Department’s inspector general.
Continued:
But it’s not clear that’s being done.
Welty initially said the Intelligence Community inspector general, which had already been looking into the issue of whether classified information has been improperly shared with or by Clinton, has taken responsibility for deciding which emails to review, from whom and determining their classification.
However, Andrea Williams, a spokeswoman for the Intelligence Community Inspector General, said that office “never had access to any emails other than those provided to the State Department by former Secretary Clinton.”

Barack Obama's Illegal Covert War in Syria

Barack Obama and his administration's secret war against Assad in Syria will always be framed in a different light.  The coup in Libya under the guise of the 'responsibility to protect doctrine' or R2P and the resulting chaos in Libya has been a disaster for the entire middle east.  The attack on the Special Mission in Benghazi and the transfer of weapons from Libya to Syria, via Turkey, exposed Obama's secret and unconstitutional war long ago. Just as Turkey is using the war on ISIS as an opportunity to attack the Kurds, Obama is now using the war on ISIS to target Assad.

This RAT LINE of military arms from Libya directly and indirectly aided ISIS in Syria, a group that Obama has done little to confront and who the POTUS called the 'jayvee team'.  ISIS, a group that this administration uses to fight Assad.  Obama's ISIS army only became a problem for him when they streamed into Iraq when the POTUS withdrew our troops, thus surrendering the territory to ISIS and Iran.

The Obama administration's power under the AUMF to conduct war in Syria have been questionable from the beginning and the actions under Article 2  now are politely described as ' blurry' as the following story excerpted from TheHILL describes

White House Legal Strategy for ISIS Fight Gets Blurry
President Obama has shifted his legal rationale for justifying military force to defend Syrian rebel forces battling the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria as the prospect has increased that they could come into conflict with Syria’s government.

The administration had been using a 2001 authorization approved by Congress after the Sept. 11 attacks to justify air strikes against ISIS.

But the administration now says it will also rely on Article II of the Constitution as the legal backing for air strikes against Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad’s forces if Assad attacks the rebel groups.

“If Syrian government forces attack the Syrian fighters we have trained and equipped while they were engaging ISIL, the President would have the authority under Article II of the Constitution to defend those fighters,” a senior administration official told The Hill, using another acronym to describe ISIS.

The legal shift comes as the Syrian rebels are beginning to deploy back into Syria from their training sites.

This is raising the prospect that they will come into conflict with Assad’s forces, prompting the need for a U.S. response.

And the U.S. is not only protecting the rebels they've vetted and trained, but the entire groups that they were recruited from and return to — many of which the U.S. has not vetted.

In fact, a U.S. official said, the U.S.-led coalition already is providing those groups with air support against ISIS – even though they do not yet have U.S.-trained rebels embedded with them.
Continued:
The diplomatic official said some of the groups may target Assad — which would bring the U.S. closer to war with the regime.

Already, things have not gone as planned. Although the rebels were trained to fight ISIS, the first rebels to return almost immediately came under attack by al Nusra — an al Qaeda affiliated group, prompting coalition airstrikes.
The administration maintains the U.S. can defend the rebels from al Nusra — al Qaeda's affiliate in Syria — using the 2001 AUMF.

So far, there has been no conflict with Syrian forces.
Both the expansion of the fight, and the shifting rational for its legality has drawn criticism from Congress.
Continued:
Legal scholars said using Article II to justify defensive actions as protecting the rebel groups from Assad is a stretch.
“That means nothing. That’s pretty bad when you have to cite Article II…You have to be more specific than that,” said Louis Fisher, scholar in residence at the Constitution Project and former Congressional Research Service researcher.

He and other legal experts say Article II has been interpreted to allow a president to “repel sudden attack” against U.S. troops, the U.S.mainland, and its interests.

Using it to defend Syrian rebels would not fit under that previous interpretation, he said.
“Invoking Article II is question-begging,” agreed Stephen Vladeck, law professor at American University.

Vladeck said Article II has also been interpreted to allow the U.S. to defend its “assets.”
However, he said “by that logic any person or piece of military equipment used by anyone on a side of a conflict with which we agree is all of a sudden covered by Article II. And that cannot be right.”
As recently as last month, Marine Gen. Joseph Dunford, the incoming chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told the Senate Armed Services Committee that the U.S. did not have the authority to conduct airstrikes against the Syrian regime.
“My understanding is that we don't have the legal authority at this time to go after the Assad regime. And it's also the policy of the administration not to go after the Assad regime militarily,” he said at a hearing on July 7.
The administration now is saying it will conduct “offensive” strikes against ISIS that would be justified by the 2001 AUMF, use the same AUMF to justify “defensive” strikes against al Nusra, and use Article II to justify “defensive” strikes to defend the rebels against the regime.
Some lawmakers are becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the blurred lines, one year after the airstrikes against ISIS first began.
The Nobel Peace Prize winner Barack Obama and his administration has wanted to directly attack Assad for years and only when they sought political cover by involving Congress at the last minute was this averted. The reasons for opposing Obama's 'intervention' in Syria were numerous and the public opposed his actions as well.

The Obama administration has never been honest about Syria. In fact, they have always lied about Syria at every opportunity. The claims that the Assad regime solely using chemical weapons against the Syrian people and was a cause for war or Obama and his administration claiming they destroyed Assad's chemical weapons arsenal and enforced the chemical weapons treaty are lies. Further 'blurring' the lines of Constitutional power really isn't a problem for this corrupt and dishonest administration.

Data in Hillary Clinton’s ‘Secret’ Emails Came from 5 Intelligence Agencies

Hillary Clinton's denials of wrongdoing are contradicted weekly by the release of information regarding her private email server. Close confidant Sidney Blumenthal's own emails have proven that Hillary didn't turn over all her emails in regards to Benghazi, Libya and the latest Inspector Generals reports contradict her claims about the sensitive nature of the information sent and stored on her unsecured 'homebrew' email server.  Excerpt trom McClatchyDC ....

Hillary Clinton Classified Emails Contained Information From Five Intelligence Agencies

The classified emails stored on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private server contained information from five U.S. intelligence agencies and included material related to the fatal 2012 Benghazi attacks, McClatchy has learned.
Of the five classified emails, the one known to be connected to Benghazi was among 296 emails made public in May by the State Department. Intelligence community officials have determined it was improperly released.
Revelations about the emails have put Clinton in the crosshairs of a broadening inquiry into whether she or her aides mishandled classified information when she used a private server set up at her New York home to conduct official State Department business.
While campaigning for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, Clinton has repeatedly denied she ever sent or received classified information. Two inspectors general have indicated that five emails they have reviewed were not marked classified at the time they were stored on her private server but that the contents were in fact “secret.”

The email issue, however, has distracted from Clinton’s campaign for days and already has hurt her in public opinion polls. Besieged with questions, she has found herself caught in a murky dispute between State Department and intelligence officials over whether emails on her server were classified.
“Even if Secretary Clinton or her aides didn’t run afoul of any criminal provisions, the fact that classified information was identified within the emails is exactly why use of private emails . . . is not supposed to be allowed,” said Bradley Moss, a Washington attorney who specializes in national security matters. “Both she and her team made a serious management mistake that no one should ever repeat.”
McClatchy also has determined some details of the five emails that the intelligence community’s inspector general has described as classified and improperly handled.
Intelligence officials who reviewed the five classified emails determined that they included information from five separate intelligence agencies, said a congressional official with knowledge of the matter.

The Benghazi email made public contained information from the National Security Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, a spy agency that maps and tracks satellite imagery, according to the official, who asked to remain anonymous because of the sensitivity of the matter.
The other four classified emails contained information from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the CIA, the official said.
The Office of the Intelligence Community Inspector General did not respond to questions about the matter. The five agencies either referred questions about it to the inspector general’s office or declined to comment.
The intelligence community inspector general only looked at a sample of 40 emails, even though a total of 30,000 emails were turned over to the State Department by Clinton.

In documents that were publicly released, Intelligence Community Inspector General I. Charles McCullough III said State Department officials had warned that there were “potentially hundreds of classified emails” on Clinton’s private server.
Clinton’s campaign did not respond to requests for comment. Clinton has maintained she used a personal email account as a “matter of convenience” and has denied she emailed any classified material.
