Gun Used in Paris Terrorist Attacks Linked to Obama Admin Gun-Walking Program?

Just when the Obama administration and the ATF thought that Operation Fast and Furious was a distant memory, the failed gun walking program sneaks back into the news ....

One of the guns used in the November 13, 2015 Paris terrorist attacks came from Phoenix, Arizona where the Obama administration allowed criminals to buy thousands of weapons illegally in a deadly and futile “gun-walking” operation known as “Fast and Furious.”  

A Report of Investigation (ROI) filed by a case agent in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) tracked the gun used in the Paris attacks to a Phoenix gun owner who sold it illegally, “off book,” Judicial Watch’s law enforcement sources confirm. Federal agents tracing the firearm also found the Phoenix gun owner to be in possession of an unregistered fully automatic weapon, according to law enforcement officials with firsthand knowledge of the investigation. 

The investigative follow up of the Paris weapon consisted of tracking a paper trail using a 4473 form, which documents a gun’s ownership history by, among other things, using serial numbers. The Phoenix gun owner that the weapon was traced back to was found to have at least two federal firearms violations—for selling one weapon illegally and possessing an unregistered automatic—but no enforcement or prosecutorial action was taken against the individual. 

Instead, ATF leaders went out of their way to keep the information under the radar and ensure that the gun owner’s identity was “kept quiet,” according to law enforcement sources involved with the case. “Agents were told, in the process of taking the fully auto, not to anger the seller to prevent him from going public,” a veteran law enforcement official told Judicial Watch. 

It’s not clear if the agency, which is responsible for cracking down on the illegal use and trafficking of firearms, did this because the individual was involved in the Fast and Furious gun-running scheme .. . . . . .

FBI Investigated Orlando Nightclub Shooter in 2013 & 2014

A co-worker of the suspect in the Orlando, Fla., nightclub shooting described Omar Mateen as homophobic, "unhinged and unstable," according to Florida Today, a daily newspaper in Melbourne, Fla.

Daniel Gilroy worked with Mateen at G4S Security for several months in 2014 and 2015, and said Mateen frequently made homophobic and racial comments.

He also said Mateen began sending him multiple texts a day, leading Gilroy to quit his job.
"I quit because everything he said was toxic," Gilroy said. "And the company wouldn't do anything. This guy was unhinged and unstable. He talked of killing people." 

Fifty people were killed and 53 more wounded inside the crowded gay nightclub. Mateen, a U.S. citizen from Florida, is suspected in the shooting. He was killed at the scene.  

Orlando Police Chief John Mina told reporters the suspect had an assault-style rifle and a handgun. The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed responsibility Sunday for the shooting, but offered no proof for the attacks. 

The FBI confirmed on Sunday it had interviewed the suspect in the Orlando, Fla., nightclub attack three times before the shooting took place early Sunday morning.  

An official said the FBI first became aware of the suspect, Omar Mateen, 29, in 2013 when he made "inflammatory comments to coworkers alleging possible terrorist ties."  

In the course of that investigation, Mateen was interviewed twice, but the FBI was unable to verify the substance of his comments.

The Obama Administration's Political Agenda Endangers Our Freedom & Security

Following the Islamic terrorist attack in San Bernardino, California.  Barack Obama's Attorney General was quoted as saying a few questionable things. The first comment that came to my attention dredged up a few memories from a previous crisis. Crisis, which the administration always viewed as opportunities, hence the catch phrase "opportunities of crisis"   In the case of Attorney General  Loretta Lynch the shootings were a wonderful opportunity for change....

.Loretta Lynch, at a press conference yesterday, termed the San Bernardino shootings a "wonderful opportunity" to change the nature of police work:

We’re at the point where these issues have come together really like never before in law enforcement thought and in our nation’s history and it gives us a wonderful opportunity and a wonderful moment to really make significant change.

Yes, the wonderful opportunity to push for more useless gun control to divert attention away from the laughable leftist argument that it was 'workplace violence'  and not an Islamic inspired terrorist attack.

In remarks before the Muslim Advocates Dinner Thursday night, Attorney General Loretta Lynch told attendees that the Justice Department will take action against “anti-Muslim rhetoric” and “violent talk.”

Don't worry America, Obama has the ISIS terror contained and the homeland is safe. The real problem in America  is free speech and the real victims of the San Bernardino shooting are Muslims and their children. Yes, those defenseless women and orphans . So damn the free speech provisions of the First Amendment and the right to bear arms in the Second Amendment. Obama has a gun control agenda to push and voting blocs that need pandering.

The fact that the Obama administration failed to properly vet the San Bernardino shooter and  is eager to bring in tens of thousands of unvettable 'refugees or migrants' from Syria and elsewhere while he panders to the material and ideological supporters of our sworn enemy borders on treason.

Assailant in Garland TX Attack Bought Gun in 2010 Under Operation Fast & Furious

The Obama administration has received little scrutiny from the left-leaning main stream media and Operation Fast and Furious is just another example.  This gun-walking operation only came to light after Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed by one of the guns from this failed and intentionally flawed operation. Now the program is in the news, yet again. The timeline of the  'discovery' is as follows:

This administration's stonewalling, denials and outright lies led to Obama's Attorney General Eric Holder being  held in contempt of Congress.  In Fact, Barack Obama was willing to repeat lies about the gun-walking program that armed the Mexican Sinaloa Drug Cartel, among others, with 'assault weapons' . Now this program is in the news again after the Islamic terror attack on a cartoon contest in Texas. The mention of Operation Fast and Furious always fails to address these questions. Why weren't the guns tracked;? What purpose did that really serve?  Why was the failed program covered-up and lied about ? Assailant in Garland TX Attack Bought Gun in 2010 Under Operation Fast & Furious

Five years before he was shot to death in the failed terrorist attack in Garland, Texas, Nadir Soofi walked into a suburban Phoenix gun shop to buy a 9-millimeter pistol. 

At the time, Lone Wolf Trading Co. was known among gun smugglers for selling illegal firearms. And with Soofi's history of misdemeanor drug and assault charges, there was a chance his purchase might raise red flags in the federal screening process. 

Inside the store, he fudged some facts on the form required of would-be gun buyers.
What Soofi could not have known was that Lone Wolf was at the center of a federal sting operation known as Fast and Furious, targeting Mexican drug lords and traffickers. The idea of the secret program was to allow Lone Wolf to sell illegal weapons to criminals and straw purchasers, and track the guns back to large smuggling networks and drug cartels. 

Intentions of the program were to help arm a chosen cartel and to help push gun control in the U.S. 

Instead, federal agents lost track of the weapons and the operation became a fiasco, particularly after several of the missing guns were linked to shootings in Mexico and the 2010 killing of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in Arizona. 

Soofi's attempt to buy a gun caught the attention of authorities, who slapped a seven-day hold on the transaction, according to his Feb. 24, 2010, firearms transaction record, which was reviewed by the Los Angeles Times. Then, for reasons that remain unclear, the hold was lifted after 24 hours, and Soofi got the 9-millimeter. 

As the owner of a small pizzeria, the Dallas-born Soofi, son of a Pakistani American engineer and American nurse, would not have been the primary focus of federal authorities, who back then were looking for smugglers and drug lords. 

He is now. 

In May, Soofi and his roommate, Elton Simpson, burst upon the site of a Garland cartoon convention that was offering a prize for the best depiction of the prophet Muhammad, something offensive to many Muslims. Dressed in body armor and armed with three pistols, three rifles and 1,500 rounds of ammunition, the pair wounded a security officer before they were killed by local police.

A day after the attack, the Department of Justice sent an "urgent firearms disposition request" to Lone Wolf, seeking more information about Soofi and the pistol he bought in 2010, according to a June 1 letter from Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, to U.S. Atty. Gen. Loretta Lynch. 

Though the request did not specify whether the gun was used in the Garland attack, Justice Department officials said the information was needed "to assist in a criminal investigation," according to Johnson's letter, also reviewed by The Times.

The FBI so far has refused to release any details, including serial numbers, about the weapons used in Garland by Soofi and Simpson. Senate investigators are now pressing law enforcement agencies for answers, raising the chilling possibility that a gun sold during the botched Fast and Furious operation ended up being used in a terrorist attack against Americans.
