Tom Perez Elected DNC Chairman to Lead Divided Democrats

ATLANTA — Tom Perez, the former Labor secretary for President Barack Obama, was elected as the Democratic National Committee’s new chairman on Saturday, replacing interim chair Donna Brazile after a rollicking four-month race and a chaotic final day of voting. 

Party members landed on a decision on who should be in charge of Democrats’ official party apparatus after two rounds of balloting. With 218 votes necessary to win, the final tally was 235 votes for Perez and 200 votes for Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison.

Immediately after taking over, Perez moved to name Ellison his deputy chairman, aiming to unify a divided party.

 Ellison supporters got the participation trophy under the guise of unity:

When Perez won, Ellison backers erupted in anger, chanting “Party of the people, not big money!” But that fury turned to relief and big smiles as Ellison took the deputy chair title.

In an effort to unite the party, Perez selected Ellison as his deputy chairman. Who is Keith X Ellison? Keith X is the Hamas' terror front group CAIR and Muslim brotherhood backed MN Congressman that has ties to the hate group Nation of Islam which is led by Louis Farrakhan.  Keith X's troublesome ties from his past and present raise concerns among most if not all average Americans. That is why Keith X prefers to hide behind the progressive label and backed Bernie Sanders, the 'democratic socialist'. Whether it is ties to Islamic terror front groups, the communist party USA and their affiliates Keith X has it covered.  How will the two factions really get along, even against a common enemy named Donald J. Trump is really anyones guess. In Latest Embarrassment, House Dems Display Incorrect Confederate Flag

The Democratic party is always eager to pretend to fight racism wherever they can create it.  The latest episode of monumental stupidity shows that the party of the left and their beacon of justice and liberty is powered by a bunch of rather dim bulbs.

House Dems display incorrect Confederate flag

House Democrats referenced the wrong Confederate flag Thursday during a debate over the controversial symbol. 

A photo from floor debates shows a Confederate flag with 17 stars, according to a post on CSPAN’s Instagram account. 

The actual Confederate battle flag had 13 stars, one for each of the states that seceded from the Union before joining the Confederacy as of late 1861. 

CSPAN’s photo shows a number of House Democrats speaking by a cutout of the incorrect version on Thursday morning. 

Reps. James Clyburn (S.C.), Al Green (Texas), Keith Ellison (Minn.), David Cicilline (R.I.), Eric Swalwell (Calif.), Hakeem Jeffries (N.Y.), Sheila Jackson Lee (Texas) and Terri Sewell (Ala.) all missed the apparent mistake. 

House GOP leaders abruptly canceled a vote Thursday on a spending bill for the Interior Department amid intraparty infighting over displays of the Confederate flag. 

The proposed legislation was shelved after the House moved to vote on an amendment to a measure that would continue allowing the display of the controversial symbol in certain federal cemeteries.

The Democratic party and the opportunists that inhabit its ranks in office and their coalition of astroturf activists know no shame as they peddle distortion after distortion and lie after lie,. from Ferguson to Charlotte.
