Secrets Out - The Obama Administration - Sensitive Leaks are Serious Business

Leadership. Command and control. Not only were the  leadership abilities a question for Barack Obama and his administration, but leadership qualities too. Mandates, fiats and operating without a budget are only tactics of yet another corrupt Chicago politician. Dismal economic figures aside, should the measure of the person be measured by those he surrounds himself with and their actions as a team? Maybe the lives they are willing to risk are worth less than their own?

The bartering of secrets for political gain is reason enough to throw these political hacks out of Washington. The outrage in the media lasts a news-cycle at most if it is bad news for Barack Obama. The politicians measure their actions in donation dollars, favors and votes. The cost to our country is IMMEASURABLE.

Biden Reveals Classified Information?

  May 16, 2009

According to an account in Newsweek, Biden did give up one of the country's secrets at another dinner where journalists and politicians make fun of Republicans (and occasionally laugh at each other). Biden told his dinnermates about the existence of a secret bunker under the Vice President's Residence at the U.S. Naval Observatory.
Eleanor Clift writes:
Ever wonder about that secure, undisclosed location where Dick Cheney secreted himself after the 9/11 attacks? Joe Biden reveals the bunker-like room is at the Naval Observatory in Washington, where Cheney lived for eight years and which is now home to Biden. The veep related the story to his head-table dinner mates when he filled in for President Obama at the Gridiron Club earlier this year. He said the young naval officer giving him a tour of the residence showed him the hideaway, which is behind a massive steel door secured by an elaborate lock with a narrow connecting hallway lined with shelves filled with communications equipment. The officer explained that when Cheney was in lock down, this was where his most trusted aides were stationed, an image that Biden conveyed in a way that suggested we shouldn't be surprised that the policies that emerged were off the wall.
Despite more than fifteen trips to the VPR over the past five years, and despite having conducted dozens of interviews about security precautions taken for Cheney and his staff after 9/11, I was never told such a bunker existed

After the revelation, Vice President Joe Biden's office goes into damage control but is not found to be believable as the wire stories last paragraphs indicate. The matter is dropped by the media.

Biden didn't leak information about secret bunker

Washington, May 19 (ANI): Vice President Joe Biden's spokesperson has clarified that he was merely describing a guest room in the Naval Observatory to the dinner guests, and not the location of the secret bunker.
"There was no disclosure of classified information," Fox News quoted Biden's spokeswoman Elizabeth Alexander, as saying.
She added that Biden was merely describing a guest room in the Naval Observatory, the official vice presidential residence in Washington.........

In December 2002, neighbors complained of loud construction work being done at the Naval Observatory, which has been used as a residence by vice presidents since 1974.
This is the latest cover-up attempt that comes from the office of Vice President Biden, who has a long history of political blunders. (ANI)

Leaks may happen in any administration, however the Obama political machine has abused their access to information and exceeded the authorities they posses. Our allies have reason to not trust this administration with classified information.
